I. Candidate Qualification and Selection Criteria The goal of Trace Foundation's Postgraduate Bridging Scholarship (PGBS) is enable qualified individuals to develop their professional skills and pass that knowledge on to others. In particular we are targeting individuals whose past professional experiences, proposed studies, and future career plans are all linked in one way or anther with the development of the system of Tibetan medium education. The PGBS provides funds for up to one year of intensive training for people who have recently taken the graduate entrance exams but failed due to inadequacy in a non-major subject, so as to enable them to succeed at the entrance examinations the following year. A qualified candidate should possess the following:
II. Review Cycle and Application Deadlines Applications for Trace Foundation’s Postgraduate Training Scholarship are reviewed once a year in May. The final results normally come out before the end of June. In order for you to successfully enter the scholarship competition, you must meet the application deadlines as follows: Deadline for submission of pre-screening material: March 1. By March 1, all first time applicants must have submitted the following material:
Deadline for submission of complete application material: April 30. By April 30, all applicants must have submitted all the necessary material needed for a complete application packet. If by April 30 you are not able to provide a complete set of application material, your application will be postponed for the next review cycle in the following year. Interested individuals are invited to read the complete Chinese and/or Tibetan versions of the Postgraduate Training Scholarship Application Guideline; or visit our Application Material Download Page to download the original Guideline document as well as obtain the application form and other necessary application material (In addition, we strongly suggest that you contact the TMHES office directly to make sure that you have the most up-to-date versions of the documents.
