This glossary contains key terms found in the website relating to Tibetan culture and geography, as well as to education, healthcare and other fields connected with Trace's development work. The purpose of the glossary is both to help readers familiarize with the terminology found in the website and to provide a general index of information relevant to development work in Western areas of China. It is divided according to the four sectors in which Trace works, education, healthcare, rural development and culture. Within each of these categories definitions are listed alphabetically. We continue to update the glossary, and welcome your feedback.
