In addition to implementing our own projects, Trace Foundation supports the work of others within Tibetan areas of China.
Trace awards external grants to social organizations, local government and academic institutions, international NGOs, and individuals working towards sustainable development of Tibetan communities. Support is also available for Tibetan language publication, and Tibetan fine arts. Grants may also be awarded to individuals undertaking research within any of our program areas. Trace's primary commitment in Tibetan areas has been within the sector of Education. In addition to fostering a strong education system in Tibetan areas, Trace supports promising young Tibetans through scholarships to pursue an education at all levels. Scholarships for undergraduate and graduate education, and professional training are awarded through Trace Foundation's Tibetan Medium Higher Education Scholarships Project. Fellowship support is available to graduate students, educators and in-service professionals undertaking research to support education, culture, healthcare or rural development in Tibetan communities. Guidelines for Fellowship Application will be available in the coming months.
