| Working in Partnership with Trace Foundation
Trace Foundation funds and implements projects related to Culture, Education, Health care and Rural development Tibetan communities in the northwest and southwest regions of the People's Republic of China. Projects supported by the foundation seek to achieve similar goals to those set out by the People's Republic of China for development in the 21st century. These goals include: improving education and training; increasing employment opportunities for the poor; expanding health care in rural areas and rural development through conservation and management of natural resources. At the heart of all Trace Foundation's activities is a commitment to partnership and community service. In practical terms, this partnership can take many forms. It can mean bringing different resources to the table, working with grantees on planning, looking for synergies between projects or cooperating with other organizations. In spirit, it means respecting all people, valuing cultural perspectives, learning, sharing ideas and working together to benefit others. In all of the projects supported by the foundation, Trace Foundation staff work closely with project partners including local government and community members and local and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) towards the realization of program goals. Before submitting a proposal, please first review the program descriptions on this web site to find out whether your project falls within our funding guidelines. If you think your request is compatible with Trace Foundation's programs, please contact a Trace Foundation office to obtain our Guidelines for Grant Inquiry and follow the instructions of the application process.
